The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing project financial operations, ensuring strict compliance with donor regulations and international accounting standards, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile, verify, and conduct quality checks on project receipts, invoices, and expense reports to ensure full audit readiness.
- Collate and manage monthly project budgets.
- Track project expenditures against milestones and perform variance analysis.
- Calculate and prepare all project financial records, including accurate preparation and processing of DEG call notices.
- Ensure compliance with international donor requirements and IFRS standards.
- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Monitor foreign exchange fluctuations and manage financial risks related to cross-border transactions and procurement.
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for project implementation.
