We're looking for a detail-oriented claims specialist to strengthen our insurance department. This role involves a thorough review of client claims to determine allowable benefits and, when required, providing professional testimony in court.
While most responsibilities will be performed in the office, some travel will be necessary for field visits, interviews, and research activities. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, professionalism, and a comprehensive understanding of the latest policies and regulations within the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze insurance claims for accuracy and completeness.
Verify policy coverage and determine claim eligibility.
Investigate claims by reviewing supporting documents, medical records, police reports, invoices, or other evidence.
Identify discrepancies, fraud indicators, or billing errors.
Process claim payments or recommend claim denials based on policy guidelines.
Maintain accurate claim documentation and records.
Communicate with policyholders, providers, adjusters, attorneys, and internal stakeholders regarding claim status.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare reports, analyze claim trends, and recommend process improvements.
